FP Wear was started in 2003 with a line of one-of-a-kind children’s clothes. Although having a daughter of my own now means that most of the children’s clothes that I create end up on her and her friends, rather than the website, I’ve taken the fundamentals of those early days and applied them to a variety of new products. I still love taking unique fabric, fibers, beads and putting them together in ways that are interesting, beautiful and practical. No two items are ever identical.
Although I have many more ideas brewing in my head than I will ever have time or energy to create, I also really enjoy working with clients to create custom items. I find it challenging and inspiring to view the process through someone else’s eyes and to bring their vision to life. And there’s never an additional charge for a custom order!
Through my Etsy shop, I’m a proud member of the Alberta Street Team. I’m also pleased to be working with a new retail partner: Make1 Yarn Studios of Calgary. You can find FP Wear project bags and totes in the store beginning in August 2009.
As part of our commitment to the community, we donate 10% of our profits to charity.
FP Wear was named after the coolest dude, Floppy Puppy. Although he doesn’t take many new adventures any more, you can still find out more about him and his travels by visiting www.floppypuppy.com.
